Empowering Families through the use of Evidence-Based Quality ABA Services

Children's Behavior Therapy was founded in 2009 to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children on the Autism Spectrum and children with behavioral health concerns.  We view ABA therapy as a collaborate effort between Clinicians, family, teachers and child. By working closely together, we can create a treatment plan and environment that meets your family’s goals and priorities. We’ll focus on the progress that matters most to you and your child and we'll work together as a team in varied environments to promote and generalize learning in your child.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis is the science of human behavior. ABA is is one of the most widely accepted therapies for children with autism spectrum disorder. There are hundreds of research studies demonstrating the efficacy of ABA as an intervention for individuals with Autism. ABA also benefits children with mental health diagnoses, children not meeting developmental milestones and typically developing children with behavior concerns. ABA is the applied use of  behavioral principles to everyday situations with the goal of increasing or decreasing specific behaviors. All ABA programs share similar components: reinforcement, discrete trial teaching, verbal behavior, natural environment teaching to promote generalization, prompting, fading strategies and data-based decision making.  What is Early Intervention? The Early Steps Program provides treatment and interventions to help babies and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities meet milestones that typically develop during the first three years of life (such as tracking items, reaching, grabbing, crawling, playing, walking, thinking, learning, talking, dressing, eating and problem-solving). We work closely with child and parent in the natural environment (home, daycare, community). We celebrate all milestones, no matter how big or small! What sets us apart? Our agency is owned and operated by an experienced and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with an extensive background in administration, program management and supervision. Our utmost priority is to surround ourselves with like-minded clinicians. Our team is made up of qualified, compassionate Behavior Analysts and therapists who specialize in ABA. We care about your child and family and will dedicate ourselves to your child's progress. We consider you the expert on your child and value your feedback. We understand that building a trusting therapeutic relationship takes time and appreciate the opportunity that you have given us to be a part of your journey.
